    ITINERARY

    Day 1 - Welcome to Sydney

    On arrival at Sydney Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure. Perhaps take a stroll through the historic Rocks and Circular Quay. Or take a walk to the Sydney Opera House.
    Accommodation: Vibe Hotel, Sydney.

    Day 2 - Sydney Sights

    Travel to Manly Beach for a stroll along The Corso to see the beach that has made Manly famous. On your way you’ll view Circular Quay and then cross the Sydney Harbour Bridge. Stop at Milsons Point for spectacular views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. At North Head Lookout admire a panoramic view of the Pacific Ocean. Enjoy time at Manly Beach before heading back to the city.

    Board a Captain Cook cruise for lunch on Sydney Harbour. Take in the stunning harbour views and listen to informative commentary while you enjoy a buffet lunch of fresh seafood, tender prime meats and seasonal fruit.

    This afternoon drive through the historic Rocks area and then see the Opera House, Hyde Park, St Mary’s Cathedral, Parliament House and the Art Gallery. Stop at Mrs. Macquarie’s Chair for magnificent views of the Opera House and Harbour Bridge. See the colourful Royal Botanic Gardens on your way to visit The Gap and enjoy its stunning views. Stop at world-famous Bondi Beach, where you’ll have the chance to wander along the shoreline and dip your toes in the clear cool water. Re-board the coach for your return to the city.

    Day 3 - Blue Mountains

    Visit Featherdale Wildlife Park. Pat a cuddly koala and see kangaroos, crocodiles, goannas and possums. Continue on to the iconic Blue Mountains. From a vantage point you’ll be treated to a spectacular view of the Three Sisters. Next stop is picturesque Leura. This beautiful village will take you back in time and is famous for its antique stores and its Candy Store.

    At Scenic World enjoy 360° views of the Jamison Valley. With your included Unlimited Discovery Pass, ride the Scenic Railway, the world’s steepest incline railway, the Cableway and Skyway.

    Day 4 - Farewell Sydney

    ITINERARY

    Day 1 - Welcome to Cairns

    On arrival at Cairns Airport you will be transferred to your hotel. The rest of the day is at leisure.
    Accommodation: DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Cairns.

    Day 2 - Great Barrier Reef

    Board a high speed catamaran and cruise to the outer edge of the Great Barrier Reef. Covering approximately 35 million hectares, it is the largest reef structure and marine park in the world and offers an experience like no other. View the spectacular coral and tropical fish from the underwater observatory and semisubmersible craft. You’ll have the opportunity to go snorkelling and experience this natural wonder up-close (equipment provided). Enjoy a tropical buffet lunch before returning to Cairns early evening.

    Day 3 - Tjapukai / Skyrail / Kuranda

    Visit the fascinating Tjapukai Aboriginal Cultural Park, Australia’s largest indigenous cultural park which has been built in a spectacular rainforest setting. Discover this ancient culture through bush food lessons, didgeridoo demonstrations, movie theatres, fire making demonstrations and the famous Tjapukai Dance.

    A short distance from Tjapukai is the Skyrail Rainforest Cableway. Skyrail takes you over and through the breathtaking World Heritage of the Barron Gorge National Park. There are two rainforest stations where you can enjoy a ranger guided boardwalk and observe this ancient rainforest from spectacular lookouts. On arrival in Kuranda there is free time to explore the ‘village in the rainforest’ and its many attractions, including the Heritage Markets. After exploring, board the Kuranda Scenic Railway for a historic journey travelling through some of the oldest rainforest in the world.

    Passing the spectacular Stoney Creek Falls your journey winds through man-made tunnels, across bridges and around curves to arrive at its final destination, Freshwater Station.

    Day 4 - Farewell Cairns

    Your short break concludes this morning after breakfast. You’ll be transferred to Cairns Airport for your onward flight. B included.

    ITINERARY

    Day 1 - Uluru

    On arrival at Ayers Rock Airport you will be met by your Driver Guide and transferred to your hotel. This afternoon enjoy a leisurely drive out to Kata Tjuta (the Olgas). Admire the view of the central valley of the domes of Kata Tjuta and witness a magnificent outback sunset while enjoying sparkling wine.
    Accommodation: Desert Gardens Hotel, Ayers Rock.

    Day 2 - Kata Tjuṯa Sunrise / Valley of the Winds / Uluṟu Base Tour

    Rise early to watch the sunrise over Kata Tjuta (the Olgas) with Uluru in the distance. Your Driver Guide will then escort you on a 2-3 hour walk at Valley of the Winds.

    This afternoon travel around the base of Uluru as your Driver Guide provides commentary about the numerous sacred sites. Continue by coach to the Kuniya Walk where your Driver Guide will escort you to the beautiful Mutitjulu Waterhole. Later visit the Uluru – Kata Tjuta Cultural Centre.

    In the late afternoon you’ll travel to the Uluru sunset viewing area. Witness the striking colour changes of Uluru while enjoying nibbles and sparkling wine.

    After sunset continue to our exclusive barbecue venue. Enjoy sparkling wine on arrival then dine on a menu of a variety of Australian meats and salads and a tasty dessert. All accompanied by a selection of wines, beers and soft drinks. There's even time for stargazing (weather permitting).

    Day 3 - Farewell Ayers Rock

    Day 2 - Fri 9 Feb 2018: Auckland to Rotorua

    Early departure - Auckland city sights tour. Then leaving the cityscape behind, travel southwards through the lush Waikato region to Daltons Plantation café in Matamata for a memorable two course WELCOME LUNCH. Then on to ROTORUA with city sights on arrival. Late afternoon individual transfers to a home-hosted private dinner with a local Maori family.
    Accommodation: NOVOTEL ROTORUA LAKESIDE HOTEL (2 nights). Full breakfast/lunch/dinner included.

    Day 3 - Sat 10 Feb 2018: Rotorua

    Morning free for optional sightseeing.
    This afternoon brings an exceptional experience. A local Maori guide will escort and host our visit to a traditional Maori Marae. An authentic cultural experience, prepare to share something extraordinary. A formal Powhiri/Welcome ceremony by local Kaumātua/elders is followed by kapa haka cultural performance performed by local children. We then enjoy an afternoon tea with our hosts.

    Late afternoon, a relaxing sunset luxury catamaran cruise on Lake Rotoiti includes BBQ dinner and an opportunity to bathe in the natural outdoor hot pools. Full breakfast/light lunch/dinner included.

    Day 4 - Sun 11 Feb 2018: Rotorua - Lake Taupo - Napier

    Depart Rotorua to Lake Taupo, the largest lake in the country and the caldera of the Lake Taupo volcano. Enjoy a 2 hour lake cruise to view the MINE BAY carvings before heading to Hawkes Bay and its art deco capital, NAPIER. Evening at leisure.
    Accommodation: SCENIC HOTEL TE PANIA (2 nights). Full breakfast included.

    Day 5 - Mon 12 Feb 2018: Hawkes Bay Wine Region

    A full day tasting and exploring the fabulous flavours of Hawkes Bay. Visits to a match of boutique and premium makers including Craggy Range and Black Barn where we will also enjoy a 3 course lunch. Black Barn was recently listed by the highly respected Frommers guidebooks as one of their Top 10 Vineyards of the World to visit. Tastings also at Askerne and Moana Park Estates and then something a little different - Telegraph Hills Olives. A late afternoon visit to TE MATA PEAK for sensational views over Hawkes Bay. Evening free. Full breakfast and lunch included.

    Day 6 - Tue 13 Feb 2018: Napier - Wairarapa - Wellington

    Southwards to the WAIRARAPA wine region famed for fine Pinot Noir and Riesling varietals.
    You would be hard-pressed to find a list of 'Best NZ Pinot Noir' which doesn't feature ATA RANGI at its top. The winery is our first stop for an exclusive tasting and talk. The principal wine has won the coveted Bouchard Finlayson Trophy for Best Pinot Noir at London’s respected International Wine and Spirit Competition three times.

    Followed by a leisurely Vintners' Lunch at the smaller boutique winery, Poppies. Later journey over the Rimutaka ranges to WELLINGTON. Evening at leisure.
    Accommodation: GRAND MERCURE (2 nights). Full breakfast and lunch included.

    Day 7 - Wed 14 Feb 2018: Wellington

    Morning sightseeing tour takes in a panoramic view of the city from the top of the famous Mt Victoria lookout. Next a private visit to TE PAPA - the extraordinary national museum and Wellington's CABLE CAR to visit the famous Botanic Gardens. The remainder of the afternoon is free. The city is home to a couple of well regarded golf courses.
    FAREWELL DINNER this evening. Full breakfast and dinner included.

    Day 8 - Thu 15 Feb 2018: Farewell Wellington

    Full breakfast. Tour finishes at 10am checkout.
